The Gap You Feel But Can't Name

You've spent years building for others. Creating what they needed. Meeting their expectations. Delivering on their terms.

You're good at it. You've proven yourself. But here's the truth you've been avoiding:

You have something of your own you want to create. Maybe it's a business you've been thinking about for years. A book that needs to be written. A product you know the world needs. A career shift that would finally feel right. A side venture that could become your main thing.

You know what it is. Or maybe you don't yet, but you feel it: that pull toward something more aligned, more yours, more real.

Why You Keep Postponing

You've tried to move on this. You've planned. You've journaled. You've had the conversations. Maybe you've hired coaches or done retreats.

And you're still here.

Here's what's actually happening: every approach you've taken was cognitive. Designed for your mind. But the thing stopping you isn't a thinking problem. It's stored somewhere your thoughts can't reach.

The hesitation you feel isn't lack of clarity. It's a pattern in your nervous system, built over years of overriding your own signals, performing through discomfort, pushing down what didn't fit the plan.

You can't think your way through this. You need a different door.

The evidence you can verify yourself: Where do you feel the stuckness? The chest heaviness before you even check email. The jaw you unclench three times a day. The weight that settles before you get out of bed. These aren't just symptoms. They're communications from the system where the block actually lives.

Why Physical Challenge Is the Mechanism

This isn't about toughness or punishment. It's about access.

When you're stuck in patterns, your mind has built sophisticated defenses. It knows how to intellectualize, rationalize, postpone. It's had years of practice.

Physical challenge, voluntary, calibrated, in nature, bypasses those defenses. When your body is engaged in something genuinely difficult, when the usual mental chatter finally quiets, something else becomes available.

Research shows walking increases creative thinking by 60%. But it's not just creativity. It's honesty. When you're on your fifth hill climb at dawn, the stories you tell yourself lose their grip. What's real surfaces.

This isn't gentle bodywork. It's not lying on a table doing breathwork. For people who've built their identity on strength and capability, asking them to receive healing feels like weakness. But asking them to do something hard? That fits. That's a door they can walk through.

The hiking isn't the point. It's the door. What happens after you walk through, the coaching, the clarity, the creation, that's the point.

The Promise

Forge48 is a 48-hour intensive in the Slovenian mountains plus a 6-week creation sprint.

You won't just plan. You'll start. You'll launch. You'll put something real into the world.

By the end, you'll have:

  • Started what's actually yours – not planned it, started it, with witnesses
  • Proven you can still do hard things – completed something genuinely challenging
  • Learned to move through discomfort – you won't mistake "hard" for "wrong"
  • A cohort who knows your truth – fellow creators who will hold you to it
  • Clarity on what's yours – versus what you inherited or absorbed from others

Six weeks later: The chapter published. The MVP built. The transition made. The first client secured. The thing you've been postponing, done.

The question won't be "Can I build something of my own?" It will be "What's next?"

Is This For You?

Forge48 isn't for everyone. It's designed for a specific person at a specific moment.

This is for you if...

  • You've built things – delivered outcomes, made impact. You're capable.
  • You want something truly yours – aligned with who you actually are.
  • You're willing to be challenged – physically and emotionally.
  • You're done with plans in notebooks – you need to ship something real.
  • You're sick of waiting – not doing this is no longer an option.

This is not for you if...

  • You want comfort – this isn't a spa retreat.
  • You want someone else to do it – you do the work here.
  • You want frameworks and theory – this is about building, not learning.
  • You can't commit to 6 weeks – the sprint is required.
  • You want a quick fix – real creation takes sustained effort.

The bottom line: Forge48 works for people ready to stop postponing and start creating what's actually theirs.

What Makes Forge48 Different

vs. Executive Retreats

They offer: Inspiration and networking in comfortable settings

Forge48 offers: Voluntary challenge that bypasses defenses, not comfort that reinforces them

You leave with something shipped, not just plans and good intentions.

vs. 1:1 Coaching

Coaching offers: Cognitive work: talking, planning, insight

Forge48 offers: Somatic breakthrough first, then coaching to integrate and build

The body opens what talking alone couldn't reach.

vs. Somatic/Wellness Approaches

They offer: Gentle release through stillness and receiving

Forge48 offers: Earned openness through voluntary challenge

A door that fits people who identify as doers, not healers.

How Forge48 Works

The program combines four elements that feed into each other to create breakthrough and momentum:

1. Voluntary Challenge in Nature

You'll complete multiple hikes over 48 hours. Not as a test of fitness. As a way to access what your thinking mind has been blocking.

Physical challenge works because it bypasses your defenses. When you've been awake since midnight and you're climbing in the dark, the sophisticated stories you tell yourself lose their power. What's actually true becomes available.

The challenge is calibrated to you. Different routes for different fitness levels. The goal isn't to break you. It's to open you. To earn your way to the honesty that comfort prevents.

If you can handle a few hours of moderate hiking with breaks, you can handle this. It's about determination, not athleticism. The hills serve your creation, not the other way around.

2. Emotional Range & Awareness

As you move through the challenges, you'll experience a full spectrum of emotions: doubt, frustration, exhilaration, clarity, triumph.

Why does this matter? Because when you only operate within a narrow band of feelings, you start interpreting any discomfort as "this is wrong" or "I should stop." You learn to avoid the very discomfort that signals growth.

The key is learning to observe your emotions without becoming them. You'll feel "this is hard" and keep building anyway. You'll notice fear and launch anyway.

This emotional range work directly translates to your creation: you won't quit when things get uncomfortable because you'll recognize discomfort as part of the process, not a stop sign.

3. Integration Through Expert Coaching

Raw experience alone changes nothing. You could climb mountains alone and feel inspired, then return to the same patterns within a week.

What transforms experience into breakthrough is skilled integration: making the connections between physical resistance, emotional patterns, and creative blocks.

Between hikes, expert coaching guides you to:

  • Connect the physical resistance you just faced to how you hold back in your work
  • Identify what's actually yours to build versus what you inherited or absorbed from others
  • Recognize the patterns that keep you postponing instead of creating
  • Name what you're avoiding and why the stakes feel so high
  • Begin articulating what you'll build and how you'll launch it

By the end of 48 hours, you won't just have pushed your body. You'll have gotten brutally honest about what's yours to create and what's been stopping you.

4. Articulation Into Creation

After your final hike, you enter a dedicated Creation Session. Not reflection. Production.

You will:

  • Define the specific project you're launching (not exploring, launching)
  • Identify your natural next steps forward
  • Start producing something tangible (outline, prototype, first draft, first post, first message)

You take real steps before the weekend ends. Not "I'll do this when I get home." You do it now, with the coaches and cohort as your support.

The act of articulating your goal and starting it publicly locks in your commitment. Your cohort knows what you're building. The first artifact exists. The end result: You leave with something started, not just something planned.

The 6-Week Sprint

Forge48 doesn't end when the mountain intensive ends. For six weeks after, you have:

  • Weekly creation coaching
  • Peer accountability with your cohort
  • Support to keep building when old patterns pull you back
  • Goal: Build your project within six weeks

This is where initial breakthrough becomes a finished product. A launched venture. A published chapter. A live offering. Real results in the world.

The structure isn't there to force you forward. You'll have your own internal drive by this point. It's there to catch you when doubt creeps in, when you slip back into postponing, when the old patterns try to reclaim you.

The Experience: Nebesa

This isn't just about the program. It's about the experience.

Forge48 takes place at Nebesa (Slovenian for "heaven"), an award-winning eco-resort perched 900 meters above sea level on the slopes of Kuk Mountain. Below you: the emerald Soča Valley and the peaks of the Julian Alps. Around you: nothing but forest, silence, and sky.

Nebesa Chalets - Mountain retreat in Slovenia's Julian Alps

Your accommodation: Each participant gets their own Scandinavian-style wooden chalet with panoramic glass walls facing the mountains. Private terrace. Modern amenities. A space designed for both rest and reflection.

The wellness center: Between hikes, recover in Finnish saunas, bio saunas with aromatherapy, or infrared saunas. The common room with fireplace is perfect for evening integration sessions.

The hikes: All routes start directly from Nebesa. We've mapped multiple paths to accommodate different fitness levels, from challenging steep ascents for those who want to push hard, to gentler routes that follow the road and are easy to walk and navigate. Everyone completes the challenge; you choose the intensity.

The setting: You're in the heart of one of Europe's most pristine natural environments. The Triglav National Park. The Soča River. Mountains that have witnessed centuries of human challenge and transformation.

Nutrition: All meals are carefully planned and prepared by a local high-quality provider to fuel your body and brain throughout the experience. Options are available upon request for all dietary requirements. Matjaž, our expert nutritionist, also takes care of fueling and supplements to aid our bodies and minds throughout the challenge.

This is a premium experience because the work is premium. The setting matches the ambition.

Who Leads This Journey

Borut Jeglič

Borut Jeglič

10+ years guiding leaders through transformation. Trained nearly 100 coaches. Built four companies. Coached hundreds of executives at top regional companies.

I know the gap between external success and internal alignment because I lived it. In 2024, running a successful coaching company, I hit a wall. Everything looked right. Inside, I was stuck.

Thinking didn't help. Planning didn't help. So I stopped both. I left my company. Took a six-month sabbatical to find out who I actually am.

The culmination came in September 2025. I hiked Planina (450 meters of elevation) eight times in 48 hours. Every six hours. Midnight. Morning. Midday. Evening. Repeat.

On the seventh ascent, exhausted enough to finally be honest, everything became clear. I spent the descent voice-recording what would become Misogi Works.

The breakthrough didn't come from another strategy session. It came from physical challenge, nature, and the kind of exhaustion that bypasses defenses.

Forge48 is the structured version of what I discovered on that mountain. I guide it because I've been through it, and because I've spent a decade helping others do the hard work of real change.

Matjaž Macuh

Matjaž Macuh – Nutritionist & Personal Trainer

Matjaž brings 15+ years of experience in sports nutrition and physical training. His role is not to turn you into an athlete, but to ensure your body and mind are in an optimal state for insight and creation.

Matjaž is currently pursuing his PhD in sports nutrition and works with high performers across the business and sports worlds. He lives by the principle of "acta non verba" (actions, not words), regularly putting himself into difficult situations not for hardship, but for the intentionality behind it. To gain strength, wisdom, clarity, and decisiveness through challenge.

He designs and co-leads the physical challenges, adapting in real-time to each participant's needs. Matjaž is not a drill sergeant; he will be your domestique, the indispensable team rider in cycling whose core role is to help their captain (you) achieve the best possible result.

Crucially, Matjaž teaches you how to scientifically fuel the creative process through proper nutrition. Physical activity boosts cognition via increased brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), an essential neurotrophin referred to as the brain's "fertilizer," while specific dietary components protect neurons, suppress neuroinflammation, and improve memory, learning, and cognitive function. It is vital to constantly fuel not only the muscles but also the brain and central nervous system.

Matjaž is present throughout the 48 hours for individual consultation and adaptation. He ensures we always operate at the edge of challenge without crossing into exhaustion, a fine line that enables growth without resulting in breakdown. His expertise ensures the physical element serves the real goal: your creation.

Common Questions

"Will I really build something, or will this fade like other programs?"

You'll create something concrete during the program and build it within six weeks. We don't leave implementation to chance. Weekly creation coaching and peer accountability are built into the design to support the momentum you'll already have and catch you when old patterns try to pull you back.

"Is the physical challenge too intense?"

It's calibrated to be "just hard enough": challenging but manageable. We have different route options based on fitness level. If you can handle a few hours of moderate hiking with breaks, you can handle this. It's about determination and heart, not athletic ability.

"Why does it have to be physical?"

Because your stuckness isn't cognitive. It's stored in your body.

Every approach you've tried, therapy, coaching, books, journaling, was designed for your mind. But the nervous system physically stores unprocessed experience. Decades of overridden signals, performed-through discomfort, and swallowed truths live in your tissue.

Physical challenge accesses that system. Not because it's hard, but because genuine difficulty quiets the mental defenses that keep the truth at bay.

This isn't gentle bodywork. That's a valid approach, but it doesn't fit everyone. For people who've built their identity on strength and doing hard things, the door needs to match. Voluntary challenge is that door.

"I'm not sure I know what I want to create yet."

That's common. Often the "not knowing" is itself the pattern. Waiting for clarity before acting.

Forge48 flips that. Clarity comes through the doing, not before it. The physical challenge and coaching surface what you already know but haven't been able to access. Most participants arrive with a vague sense and leave with specificity.

"Will I fit in?"

Our cohorts are diverse: entrepreneurs, corporate leaders, coaches in training, product builders, writers, career changers. Different ages, backgrounds, stages. What you'll share: readiness to create, appetite for challenge, and commitment to finishing what you start.

"What if I can't take time off work?"

The intensive runs for 48 hours, designed for a long weekend. The 6-week sprint requires commitment but integrates with your existing life (weekly sessions, office hours, async support). Most participants continue their day jobs while building what's theirs.
